Low coolant light coming on?

Anyone have this problem before? The low coolant light came on twice this week for a few minutes then went out. The first time was when I was taking a very sharp curve, but the second time I was just driving down the highway at 60 or so. The coolant level is right where its supposed to be, so whats up bad float? Bad ground?

Not uncommon to have dirty electrical contacts at the sensor.

I just changed my float last month.

With the 602 it's more than nuisance to have the light go on. It's tied into the EDS and will cause the turbo to drop boost

Well I think I sanded the contacts on the float when I changed the coolant expansion tank a couple years ago. Its probably just going bad or something, I'll just see how it acts for now, its been tripping the light once in awhile since I got the car. It just seems to have become more frequint as of late.

Electronics on old German cars tend to have various fualts.

I can assure you the coolant mixture is only a year old and 50/50 MB coolant, distilled water.
