My tach has not been working since I bought the car. I did try putting something in the tach amp but I would only get bumps and blips on my tach. Lately nothing.

Today I accidentally hit the horn and my tach jumped to life! errmmmm I should say it moved. When I held the horn down it stayed at 5500 RPM.

I guess I need to go back into the schematics and see how this could be happening.
