Air cleaner mount nuts

I need one of those nuts that secures the rubber air cleaner mount to the bracket. I can pick up a pack of em' at the auto parts store for the same price one probably costs at the dealer. What's the dimensions for these things? All I know is that it's 10mm, but I don't know about the threads.

My thread gauge can't line up do to the rubber part. But eye ballin' it, try a 6x1.25. Best bet would be to take it to a hardware store.

it is the same size nut as the air cleaner hold down center stud is. most auto parts places have a metal plate with various studs and holes to test your threads against.

You may be able to get away with that, just keep in mind the rubber mounts I've seen, have all the same size "bolt" ends. Had to retighten 'em on the SD a couple of weeks ago. Took care of that awful noise at certain rpm.

Follow up

You can use loctite I suppose on the inside of the AC only. The bracket that receives the other end of the rubber mounts is threaded. When those mounts fail, difficult to remove WITHOUT locktie, wouldn't want to try with.

I use nylon lock nuts, and they are working very well. No idea of the size.
