WV is looking like paradise right now.The sun must be so Brighttttttttt streaming down through the Shenandoahs. I used to get wanderlust in the summer on those really bright days and on weekends I would get in my car and shoot down to WV from NJ...

I never realized how much turbo HP I was getting from the sun. All those huge projects, changing out engines, painting my car, rebuilding engines, were done in the summers and falls and springs. Now I basically do 2 things--go to Work, come home and Sleep.........maybe I am stretching it..I hung about 7 flourescent shop lights in my garage and I am still plodding along...

Carrameow,

You just went a little too far west. On the dry side of WA state we have beautiful weather. Where I live we only get about 7" of rain a year. The bikinis are small and the girls are hot. Land is cheap and we aren't stacked on top of each other like the other side. Unfortunately finding Mercedes in bone yards isn't that easy. Its probably because we keep them on the road longer.

My recollection of what the sun looks like..

My recollection of what the sun looks like, if I am correct from memory, is that its a Bright Brillant Blinding Glare in the sky ,and that it hurts to look in it directly.
Around it the sky is brilliant stunning light blue and it coats the land underneath it with a vibrant energy charged spectrum, reflecting , bouncing and leaping and dazzling off every surface and bringing it to boiling hot intensity. Tools burn your hand and car interiors are like ovens.
Your skin bakes and your heart races. Remember the song "Summertime and the living is so Easyyyyyyyy" and thats what the sun brings to mind...Under its influence, we feel ten years younger and all our misery is lifted from our shoulders and all things are possible..We become energetic and inspired and blessed...
OF COURSE, that is from Memory.
Now I know why they call the Dark Ages the Dark Ages! I think i am going to catch the Bubonic Plague.
Can you believe it? June 18 and the clouds were so thick I thought it was February!!!

I go nuts anytime the sun is in for a couple of days, I can't imagin never ending rain. I think I'd drink a lot to compensate.

Time to move south

Okay, move to Sunny Memphis Tennessee....You not only get the beautiful sunshine, but you also get the humidity that comes along with it. Our smell even rivals the worst of NJ...You would feel right at home. You can wrench for hours without a cloud to bother you.....

If he's missing the aroma of NJ he only has to drive about 20 miles south to Tacoma Washington; there's a reason people call it "the aroma or Tacoma."

My only solace will be Winter and there are Blizzards

on the East Coast and its 15 degrees out thre.
But that never really happened lately. The winters were so short, like from Dec1 to March 15..I hope everyone realizes that I'm not complaing, Life is 99% attitude, and this makes for GREAT HUMOUR, as I said this city has some great points, like the women, they are so pretty out here and they look so lively and even more beautiful with their pale, pallid, sickly skin that never sees the sun ( ever notice how women look so much more beautiful with a wisp of sun tan...?)

I would be all messed up without the seasonal changes of New England. I'm even warped enough to love winter. The snowier the better. My uncle has been in Bellingham, WA for over 25 years and loves it.

I'm just really tired of all the comments about the Pacific NW in this thread and others. We're all just a bunch of rain loving, latte sipping, tree hugging, blah, blah blah.

If you don't like what the Pacific NW has to offer, then don't live here... its that simple. I guess I'll do the same... if I don't like the thread, I won't read it.

As a former Oregon governor said, "Come visit us again and again....But for heaven's sake, don't come here to live."

Yah, but when the sun DOES come out, we really appreciate it. I've spent allot of time in the tropics, on the water, Paradise, right?? Naaa.. pretty soon its "ho, hum , another, beautiful day". I'll take the PNW, where theres a little "weather action", but not too much

Once again

I am a happily married man and I probably get the Hots for Cars and Tools more than women, but what woman looks good without some sun on her complexion?
