Could work out the % of leakage....

Engine runs at say, 1000 rpm (I know idle isnt normally 1K but use as example..)

We can work out how much air the engine pumps from inlet to exhaust, by its speed and time and the capacity of engine.

Using the measured Volume of gas in the bin-liner after a certain time, we can calculate the % of gas lost to blow-by from the gas that passes from inlet to exhaust....

--Done correctly, I reckon we could get some pretty definitive values for evaluating blow-by.

Just my 2p/c....

This should be worth some pictures gentleman. Anchor your new hot air balloons well.
