I did a search on this forum for the weight of the 617 turbo diesel engine and I found all kind of weights for it. There was nothing that satisfied me as valid. I found someone who said it weighs 750 lbs!
A few others said around 475. Which one should I believe?
So what is the actual weight of the engine minus the accessories. I'm trying to find out for HenryDupont so he won't have to physically take his engine to the shipper to get it weighed. We're trying to get an idea of what it will cost to ship it and whether it'll be worth it.
Sure I have a couple of engines that I can weigh myself
but I don't have a scale that'll go that high.
