w123 Battery removal???
I've unhooked my battery's wiring, and attempted to pull it out.
It will not budge. Is it bolted down from underneith? I can see no such bolts.... Is it just stuck to the battery tray? Will it blow up if I taunt it?

There is a clamp that hold its down along the front of the battery. I have yet to see one that still has it. Once that clamp is removed you have to lift the front of the battery a bit to get it over the edge. Then you can pull it out but it is a bit tight.

In addition to the clamps, which one of my cars still has, removing the air filter housing although not required makes it a lot easier to get the battery in and out.

I see no clamp. I'm assuming the clamp would have been attached via the holes on the front of the tray. The battery rocks back and forth a bit... but will not lift, feels bolted down from the bottom. Has it become one with the tray? Thanks for the tips

" have to lift the front of the battery a bit to get it over the edge."
ooh- I got it. i Thought you ment 'over the front edge' I was pulling straight up. It was hooked in a bit in the back of the tray. I had to lift the front edge up and pull it forward 3/4 inch or so for it to lift. Thanks!
