front wheel bearing leaking, what to check?
I found one of my front wheel bearings is leaking oil (very liquid, drippy stuff). There's only one place it could be coming from, the grease. A search revealed that it was probably just overfilled with grease (Leaking wheel bearing grease)
I'm going to be repacking and inspecting the bearings & races anyway.. anything special I should look out for?

look for scoring on the spindle, and the races. be sure to replace the grease seal.

thanks for the advise
Checked and didn't see any scoring or discoloration.
Did notice that there was some sort of brown, with a slight greenish tinge, grease in there. Looked a lot like the brown stuff I have in a tub from years ago, perhaps mixed with a trace of green MB grease?. I suspect it may have been repacked with the wrong grease at some time and wasn't standing up well to the load, hence the drippiness. I replaced the entire grease charge, so I didn't worry on it too much though.

It's also possible that grease was added to the bearings without getting all of the old stuff out.
