Best fix that I have found is to unscrew the base from the fender and then pull out each wire one at a time and crimp the sleeve just a little then put it all back together. I did this about a month ago and it still works. The problem with the tachs not working is that all the sleeves that the amp pins go into get enlarged over time and stop making good contact. Taking the base apart and crimping the sleeves takes less than ten minutes.
