Sold the C230-kept the 300SD
I sold my 1998 C230 three weeks ago.
What’s the big deal? Nothing, except that it makes my 1981 300SD my daily driver. Some people think I am nuts to favor a 26 year car over a more modern vehicle but the truth of the matter is that in the two and a half years I have owned the 300SD I have driven it 50 thousand miles and have put two thousand on the C230. The SD has taken me on road trips as far west as Palm Desert, CA and as far east as Belfast, Maine. A guy at work offered me affair price for the C230 and after realizing that it was just taking up space and depreciating, I sold it to him. In all fairness the C230 was a great car. I put over 100,000 miles on it in the six and a half years I owned it but just did not drive it any more. Have any you guys/gals favored an older generation vehicle over a newer one?
