300SD speed sender on trans

I finally have the 300sd running and moving under its own power after the engine swap, but have no speedometer. I do have a four inch piece of wiring hanging from the sender on the transmision, but see no other wire to connect this to. Where does the wiring run and what color is it so I can focus my search?
