Nicely done ad!
Quote:
Every thing works on this car EXCEPT: Passenger seat power head rest (you can hear clicks but no movement)
Mine also had a headrest that seemed stuck at first. It wasn't until I realized that the leather on the bottom of the headrest had kinda melded with the leather on the top of the seat that I got it working. Jam your hand in there with a cloth wrapped around it and some leather conditioner on it.

There was someone recently selling a car that posted pictures of the interior with their dog sitting on the front seat. That got a few questions.

The 87 300Ds are not notorious for flat tires, but they do have a reputation for cracked aluminum heads - that's why the water drew my attention. If the car happens to have something other than a -14- series head on it, you should post that in the ad. There's information here in the forum about -14- series head part numbers and the later series that became available. It would boost the car's value by maybe $1500-$2000 if it had a -20- series head.

It looks like a pretty good example of a 87 300D.

the car does have a #14 head, its not using coolant, there is no coolant in the oil and there is no oil in the coolant.

so im guessing its ok, the temp is a little over 80 driving around town in 90F heat.

So you made your money back at least.

Why didn't you keep it and drive it for awhile?
