Anyone one the Schuman forum?
I will be putting a turbo on my 240 at some point in the future and have been doing some digging to get as much information on the conversion as I can. I will have just about everything I need to make it work very nicely, but I still want more info on the injection pump and the original kit that STT made years ago. I found that someone had posted some instruction in German on the Schuman forum but when I tried to get them it said I had to register. No problem, I did and have been waiting for a number of days now for the reply email so I can finish the registration process and download the file.
I was wondering if anyone on this forum, that is apart of the schuman forum could download and send me the file. http://www.schumanautomotive.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2102&page=8&highlight=turbo My email is Graminal at Yahoo dot com Thanks a ton. PS I'm on my way back to Sweden in like 2 days and will be hitting up the yards again. If anyone wants anything not so big, drop me a line on email above and maybe they will have a w123 or two I can grab stuff from. No promises but I'll see what I can do. |

Graminal,
I just sent the forum master at Schuman a PM about your registration issues. He'll get it straightened out. Regards, R

It should have come instantly. You should try to register again, make sure your e-mail address is 100% correct, and let everything load completely before you press any buttons.

Thanks a bunch, I tried to register again and it said that my email address is already in use, so my guess is that the registration just got hung up somewhere along the way.

I've posted a link a number of times to a British company that turbo'd a lot of 616's. They did it on vans, motorhomes and cars. If you search on my screenname and 'aftermarket turbo' it should come up. They also sold auto clutches.
I talked to a British motorhome owner who had it done and was quite happy. A number of people on this forum have been sceptical of doing it because of the lack of internal upgrades that the 617 had when it was turbo'd. I'd definitely want to install a pyrometer and keep a close watch on EGT's if I did it.

Perhaps the main attraction is the Boneheaddoctor on good behaviour.
If he had been half that civil here he would still be here. Tom W

Turbo Install in 240D
I have an new STT turbo kit for a 240D boxed up in my basement that I have yet to find the time to install...I'll see if I can find any pertinent installation instructions for you.
