Gremlin in my 300td AC
1982 300td.
So my neutral wire on my started was frayed and shorting out basically everything in the car. During this wacky shortout period, my AC starts to smell like burning wires coming from the vents, and then quits.... So I fixed the starter wires (in the mean time got a new battery and installed a 115a Saab alternator to "fix the problem"... HA!) And I replaced the CCU and the climate brain behind the glovebox. Still no AC... I mash the buttons on the ccu and I get nothing. No compressor kick in, no blower motor. All fuses are fine. Blower motor is still ok. Any ideas??

Well, just check it out.
The problem might be related, might just as well not be related. I would say a good start to find the solution to these problems would be with just a simple 12v test light. Follow the circuit down and find out where your power starts and where it stops. It usually isn't too difficult, just takes time. Start on the clutch circuit first. Do you have adequate freon in the system to activate the switch for the clutch?
