Clunking sound when backing up, and sway bar sound

I am getting a noticable clunking sound rythmic with the rotation of the back wheels, when I get home from my 35 mile commute home and put it in reverse. It doesn't make the sound when I am backing out of my office parking spot, but when I get home and back it in to my parking spot it is a metallic sounding clunk, clunk, clunck as I roll back.

I have heavy vibration when applying the brakes at high speed, and suspect a bad flex disk???

Visably, the boots, etc look in decent condition with no rips, damage, leaks, that I can see. I am going to spend some time under there soon, because I think I have bad sway bar links as well, and I want to look at the flex disk.

That sound is over bumps and sounds like the spare tire cover (wood) is bouncing up and down (kind of a wooden sound vibrating over small bumps.

Any advice, opinion... thanks

1.Axles.

2.Heavy vibration when applying brakes == new rotors

3. Sway bar links, I highly recommend the moog sway bar links from the W116.

I had a heavy clunking noise when applying the brakes in reverse, then again after the first stop. Turned out to be the Guide Rod/Track Rod/Braking Support Joint. Had the same front-end shuddering when stopping from high speeds(80+ to 35 in about 100 ft) occasionally.
