1984 300SD oil cooler line wrong size

Helo everyone,

I searched on this subject for a couple of hours, but couldn't find anything. I recently bought some new oil cooler lines for my 1984 300SD. However when I went to install them I found that my new upper line was not the same bent shape as my old one. It is roughly the same, but at the point where the lines are clamped to the engine block it is different. Because of this the two lines will not mate to each other properly at this point and the clamp will not fit over them. The part number is 617 180 0582 which is what is called for on this car I believe. The hose was made by Cohline. I was just wondering if anyone has had this experience before and if there is another part number that I should try.

Thanks,

Gilbert
