Is it possible to increase the wattage on fog lamps on 126 models?
As I mentioned in a previous thread,My 126 has a vacuum issue. If I happen to drive down a fairly steep hill and need to come to a complete stop at the bottom,I notice that my brake pedal get very stiff(hard).Just the other day I purchased a vacuum pump kit for it (pump) to be overhauled. Is it only that little valve in the pump that needs to be replaced or is it worth wild to R&R the pump ![]() Last edited by Bens lover; 10-07-2007 at 02:42 AM. |

Sounds like the external check valve (in the nipple where the hard line attaches to the pump) may have come apart and the "parts" are causing an obstruction when the car if pointed downhill.

No disrespect...But I don't really have an answer to my questions...
Can we increase the wattage of a bulb serving the fog lamps, and do I have to rebuilt the vacuum pump for just the valve being silly? |

Bebs,
U can only increase the wattage if U can find a bulb that fits that has a higher wattage rating. Be very careful with the glass cover on the fog light bulb. It can disindegrate with finger force applied to it. It is very expensive from MB because not sold separate. Don't ask me how I know this. P E H |
