Silly heat problem

So i haven't needed to use the heat yet until a few days ago. I have never used the heat in this car before. After 10 minutes, I realized that it is hot and should be producing heat but yet nothing. The I feel the hoses to the heat core and they are hot. Fiddeling around with the console controls clearly deverts airflow but yet I only feel cold. I have AC and thus messed with the AC knob. 30 minutes late I get excellent heat coming from the circular ducts. It was fantastic heat, actually.

I arrived at my destination and then the next day I found myself in the same situation. Warm engine, no heat. Messing with the knobs produced nothing. The cabin feels warm because of residual heat produced by the console but nothing direct.

Today I got minimal heat through circular airducts. What are the proper settings for the 4 slider knobs on the console. There isn't anything as far as writing goes. Any ideas?
