Where does this vacuum line go?
The car is a 1985 300D turbo.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me where this orange/blue vacuum line goes, (see attachment). I was doing an oil change and now I have to hit the stop lever to turn the engine off. I'm pretty sure that line is the culprit. I tried looking all around there, but I can't seem to find anything obvious. Also, I think I got the 3way connector hooked up right, but let me know if I'm wrong. Thanks^ |

I believe that goes to the shut off valve on the back of the IP. Look down between the oil filter housing and the IP and you should see a rubber hose with no vacuum line attached on the back of the IP.

Got it!
There's a component of my WVO system that was really getting in the way. It covers right over the IP, so that made things difficult. (You couldn't see it in the pic b/c I was holding it out of the way). Again, thank you! I'm still wondering about that 3way thing though... On this picture at dieselgiant, http://dieselgiant.com/shutoffvalve6.JPG it seems to be hooked up in a different combination. Is this how mine should be? |
