I went into a Checker's auto store in Chandler AZ for a piece of vacuum hose yesterday (6 OCT 07) and found a fantastic deal on Pennzoil or Quaker State synthetic engine oil. There is a coupon in the store for either oil for about $3.59 a quart. Then there is a rebate for $15 which brings the price down to about $1 a quart.

That's less than Dino oil!

I know this oil is not Diesel rated but some of U or your friends probably have gasoline engines it could be used in.

I think Krager auto stores also have the same deal.

O'Reilly's has a few nice rebates in effect this month. Quaker State and Valvoline synthetic free after rebate. Unfortunately, none of the oil subject to the rebate is diesel rated, but they do have a couple of diesel fuel additives that are free after the rebate.

I noticed in yesterdays paper that Peb Boys had a coupon for two Fram oil filters for $7. That's a good deal on the diesel filter that is normally $10.99 each.
