Folks, as I recently got my AC fixed, I have placed a little more strain on the old motor, and noticed it running a little rougher. I opened the hood, and saw that #3 injector looked as though it had a leak, in that it was slightly wet.
Tonight I replaced both hoses going to it, and ran 2 cans of LubroMoly Diesel Purge through it before putting on fresh filters. The engined seemed to respond a little better, but I still have that rough feeling, and after driving it ~15 minutes, I opened the hood and it is wet again.
Does this mean that I need to replace this injector? Is this a do it yourself job, or should I bite the bullet and take it to a mechanic? Thanks so much in advance!

With the engine running, CAREFULLY (So you don't get your fingers or hands cut off!) wipe the injector dry. Watch where the leak is coming from. If it is coming from where the injector line connects, then tighten the line up. If it appears to be coming from where the injector comes together, roughly the middle of it, then it needs to be removed from the head, disassembled, cleaned and put back together and torqued to 55ft.lbs. The injector needs to be also torqued into the head at 55ft.lbs.

With nearly full certainty, I'd say its the injector return line. Just have to get the line replaced
Afraid that wouldn't cause a hit to performance though

Well, folks, I thought you might want to know a professional mechanic's opinion. By the way, I did replace the return lines last night, and the leak may have gone away, as this morning, after my drive into town, it looked pretty dry around the injector.
My mechanic thinks that the engine roughness is due to bad motor mounts, so I have asked him to replace them in a couple of days. We'll see if that fixes the roughness or not.

You may want to do a bit of research before throwing $ at it. Does this engine roughness happen all the time, or after it's warmed up? New mounts won't hurt, yet may be unnecessary. If your engine is smooth at a cold temp, it will not "rock". There is an adjustment to take care of a shake AT OPERATING TEMPERATURE. The Rack Damper bolt, only on turbos tho.
