A few weeks ago the battery died in my 83 240d (83 617 engine), a few days ago I noticed when I shut it off the glow plug light was illuminated, but very dim. I only noticed because it was dark out. Does this indicate a bad ignition switch, or worse?

What position was key with glowplug light dim?? With ignition switched off oughta be nothin nada glowing behind dash.

Off. When I shut the engine off and removed the key the light was on, but very dim.
