Should a standard key replace an offset key when you replace the timing chain?
After reviewing the timing chain replacementinstructions I was woundering if (preowned car) you should check to see if there is an offset key already installed on the camshaft gear?
If there is one should it be replaced with a standard key because you are starting over with a new chain? After you have completed the new chain installation and if the fuel injection pump is driven by the timing chain (I am not sure it is) should you check the fuel injection pump timing? |
