Keys locked in trunk of '82 300CD

Hi. I locked my keys - both of them! - in the trunk when I was hunting for a package. Auto Club's locksmith wants $400 to make a new key! HELP! I just bought this car on Saturday from the legendary Enrique of Tarzana. I'm certain someone on this site knows the magic words/deeds to open the trunk. Thanks. Bunny244

bunny244, call or go to your local MB dealer and order a new key. You will need proof of ownership which will list the VIN which the dealer needs to order the new key. Advance payment may be required also. A new key will arrive in a couple of days.

There was a post a few months back where the guy had the same problem. seems he took out the first aid kit, and with a stick he reached through the hole to release the trunk. never tried it & don`t remember the users name. maybe do a search on the subject.

Yeah the Mercedes dealer will charge you $20-30 for a brand new key if you have the registration and VIN #.

Smile Thank You...

Hi There...just a quick thanks to all of you who responded to my plea for help. I called Enrique this A.M. and either he'll be able to get another key from the previous owner, plus he's already ordered another key from Mercedes. Just bought the car from him on Saturday... I'll post a photo in the next few days. It's so cool; like Enrique it's a real find. One owner, 105,000 on the odometer; all original -even the stereo!

An option (though not the best option) is to break a tail light and go in that way.

Insted of breaking an expensive tailight, why not just order a new key from the dealer? They cost all of $20 and its always good to have a spare key around, for situations like this...

If you order it today you should have by Friday or Monday.

I don't know what the blank number is, but yes, for the older mercedes, there is a blank that works for the master key.

my wife has to check out the fabric section of every Walmart we pass. it is about 1/2 of the local yardage stores prices.

not only a freak show it is also a fat magnet. been to walmarts in missouri kansas, nevada, oklahoma, California, oregon. It`s all the same look, fat, ugly, tatoos, pimples and all.
