steering column gromet
I have been having a cold air draft blowing on my feet. the problem is
the gromet where the steeiing column goes through the firewall has had it. several yrs ago I fixed it with some silicone, was ok for a while. now the other side has ripped open. Called Phill, said the part is $15.00 and with shipping probably $25.00. to check the dealer. called Stahl Motors in Monterey, Ca. and the part has to come out of Germany, take 7 to 10 days. cost $17.70. My question is, has any one ever done this job? Iam sure all the 123`s still running around have the original gromets. what have you all been doing with this problem, if this is a problem? Can` even emagine if I lived back east with some of that sub zero weather, makes me cold thinking about it. The part # is 123-462-1396 Charlie ![]() ![]()
