How do I remove interior back panel?
Hello;
My 83 300SD's interior back panel is completely sun bleached and I wanted to replace it with a new one. I removed the two latches that lock the 2 bin doors between the speakers in place. After that I am stuck. I don't seem to find any other screws to loosen, yet the darn panel just won't come off. What am I missing? Thanks in advance for the help. Lodester |

Must be a screw or two, this link may help, then again, it may not.

There's a screw in the trunk. C pillars and seat back need to come off also.

Thank you;
Much appreciated. A bit more involved than I anticipated but nothing I can't handle. Thanks again.

C pillar cover/ trim?
if so you have to remove the wind lace around the door and push the tab's out of the receiving end and it just comes off when you push it towards the trunk |

Hat rack on my 116 has the same problem - bleached and scorched by sunshine. What I'm seriously thinkin of doing is masking it in place and spray painting with interior vinyl paint to match. Finding good used replacement hat rack in decent shape is near impossible.
