What happend to that silver 190E! Looks like it met that Jaws of Life!

That last W126 had the rear sill cut out, I need to do that to my car. I'm still kicking myself for junking the 420SEL before doing that since it was like brand new. Luckly I was able to buy the sheet metal from the dealer for only $80.

Much like other Italian cars of the era, X1/9s are almost water soluable. Good examples are out there though, and they're fairly affordable. If they've been well maintained and continue to be, they're good, reliable cars.

I always wanted a X19, but was afraid of the "Fix It Again Tony" syndrome.
I think it was the Well maintained part that always got me, the ones I looked at never were.

I would love to have, even today, a Citreon 2CV Truckette with the corrugated metal roof. The good old Duex Chevauex (sic).!

As a much younger man I planned a trip to Europe, to start in France with me purchasing this same truck. Going to England, Scotland, over to Ireland and back to the mainland to travel all over. It was to be a Graduation trip for my Nephew. We were to travel and camp out for the whole summer. Things didn't go the route we both intended and the trip never
happened. I would still love to do that trip in a 2CV truckette. 45 MPH down hill with a tail wind, but oh the character.

Not a junkyard find but it'll do:

This one is near Marseille in France, permanently parked fifty meters from the Mediterranean. Sea salt is worse than road salt in a lot of cases.

I was just recently at the junkyards here in socal, and I thought that I would let you guys know that there are a couple W123's that are in amazing shape at the pick your part in Wilmington... one is a late model 240D that was almost mint when it was rear ended. I was able to get its dashboard .

There is also a dark blue 300D with an uncracked black dashboard, and absolutely perfect shiny trim around the windows...I wanted SO BAD to take the trim but I'm not sure how to remove it and I didn't want to break anything...

I want one of those trailer hitches! How much would one of those cost for you to get one and ship it over here?

As far as sheer volume, this guy's collection is leaps and bounds over Eric's. The guy's name is John Redmon. I'd say he has around 60 cars, if I had to guess. He's willing to sell pretty much everything.

He had his own Mercedes resto shop in Houston before relocating to East Texas. Since then, he's really just amassed way too many cars and doesn't have anywhere to properly store them. Sadly, many are not in the same shape as they were when parked, so they've turned into junked/parts cars.

We need to do something about this. I told him I'd do what I could to get the word out to he could sell some of his stuff. I'd like to get in good with the guy because I know I'll need a few things from him in the near future. So if anyone needs anything, shoot me a PM and I'll get you in touch with John.
