Left Rear Reading Light has no voltage to ON/OFF switch.

Thanks for reading.

The reading lamp in the back behind the drivers position does not work and has no power to it (Voltage). However the Right Rear works fine.

Does anybody know how the wiring is run, like where to check for voltage next?

Fuse is fine and ground checks fine also.

Thanks in advance, Merry Christmas!

Steve

I'm sorry. It's a 1982 300SD.

Don't know about the SD, but my '87 300D gets power for the reading lights from a tap/tee right behind the rear dome light over the rear window.

I don't believe that the tap is accessible with the headliner in place, again this might or might not apply to the SD

Thanks. I'll look to see if I can see anything behind the rear center dome light. Thanks for reply. Most likely the same as yours, but I hope I can make progress and don't have to remove headliner. Thanks
