300td and 300d rear door window the same?

I can't seem to find this anywhere but are the 300td and 300d rear door-window the same? I know the rear door on a 300d won't fit a 300TD but how about the window?

My 300TD rear passenger door window is broken and I need to replace it. It actually got stuck, and when I was rolling it down, I heard the bottom section get ripped off. It's staying up, but every now and again I hear pieces of glass from below the door falling.

There's a Pick-a-Part place 30 minutes away but all they have are a few 300d sedans. I want to make sure its right before I take the time to take it off the donor car.

Thanks for any help!
Tony

they should be the same. the difference is in the small fixed window behind.

I just looked at the pictures and now am not sure. It looks as if the sedan might not be square at the top rear corner. I will look at the windows in my sedan to see if they are straight across the top.

I dont think so , the TD doors are longer, I think it is in the window, not the small glass. If it gets above zero, I will step out w/ a tape and check, so long as no one has already done so.

I looked at a sedan and wagon photo and still could not tell. It looked like it was almost a match but the photos were taken in different spots so it was hard to tell.

Thanks for the input so far! If anyone's got a 300d is it possible to measure width and height for me?

Thanks again guys!

I just went outside and measured. Both sedan and wagon rear windows are about 21" wide. Ah, but as noted in post #9 below, the sedan window is in fact tapered across the top in the rear corner. At least an inch difference in height front and back.
I do know that a wagon rear window regulator will interchange between a wagon and a sedan, as I have a sedan rear regulator in the wagon.

**edit**
FYI, just to cloud the matter, they are different part #'s on the EPC.......
{btw, those EPC parts descriptions sure can be hard to read when they have you do the "chassis to" "chassis From" stuff.....

I know for a fact that the w123 300D and 300TD doors are identical from the window down. I have held them up side by side.

I think that the only difference is in the shape of the small fixed window (rounded on the 300D squared on the 300TD). In fact I'd bet money on it.

Awesome, Thanks guys! I'm off to the Pick-a-part then to install this window before my trip up north this afternoon!

well, it got uop to -1*F, so I went out to check. I even grabbed the digicam, but after returning to the house and grabbing another set of dead rechargable batteries, I gave up on pics.
but no way- the D window is tapered from the fron to the back- about 1 1/4" difference in height. also it is rounded at the back. the TD is straight across, and square. so, I reckon the D window would fit, but would not seal.

now you say it is intact, but the track came of or something- if the window glass was broken, the entire window would be shattered. it is tempered safety glass- so take of that panel and have a look at what is really going on.
