They came as standard equipment on Ferraris for many years, and other cars as well.

They are lovely wheels which even with a very thin rim provide excellent grip because there is a kindof groove that your thumb fits into and makes it easy to get a grip on.

I like them with tung oil finish instead of varnish. It looks good and is not slippery when your hand is sweaty.

I have a Nardi Torino wheel on my 83 300D. Incredibly nice polished chrome, and well-varnished wood. I think it adds a VERY classy touch to any benz.

They are nice wheels. I still have one from my dads alfa romeo. They also made them for triumps too. Some of the wheels are made from jarrah - australian eucalyptus tree. Very beautiful wood.

I think most of them have polished aluminum on the metal parts excepting the bolts which are steel.

Yea,

Always had an add in Rodent Track from the sixties through the seventies.
Probably Car and Drivel, too.

Steering wheels, shift knob, aux lights, and luggage racks.

Remember MG Mitten and the Bill Deal drawings?

Jim

You could buy Nardi steering wheels for almost any sports car way back when. They cost about $100 then. Have one on my 69 MG. I forget whether or not you could get one for a Ford or Chevy. The (mostly) good old days!

The old ones are exactly the same as the new ones, and they're all signed. I bought an old one for 60 bucks.
