One of the local dealers is carrying the Smart cars here, (not the MB dealer either, as I remember..) and those of you who point out how small they are are understating it!

I don't know how much mileage they get, but something that small would loose in ANY collision, most likely even with a bicycle, from the looks of things!

For mileage, I'd look at a VW TDI, at least they are sold here in the states, and if you keep your foot out of it, can get up around 50mpg.

For survivability in an accident, I still like my w126!
