I see you are located in Colorado. A cold block could be a bigger factor than you might think. Especially for an engine that has not been turned over in five years. I'd find or wait for some warmth.

Ether=Damage

Do you see an Ether tank for enhanced start, on either of these vehicles
equipped from the factory?

Answer: NO

The Manufacturer(s) knew that damage was one of the results of
Ether use in their pre-chamber diesels.

Think about it:Ether is much,much more volatile than gasoline AND you
would not be stupid enough to run gasoline in your diesel,would you?
