Injector Nozzle Country of Origin
So when I first start my car I have some nailing at low speeds and was thinking of replacing the injector nozzles as a matter of maintenance. I have read several posts warning of Indian Bosch nozzles so I thought I would check some shops locally and see what was available. First, I called a pretty reputable local shop that specializes in M-Bs and they told me that my injector nozzles would never wear out and that I was wasting my time. I mentioned the nailing and they said it was just a fact of diesel life...live with it. They did offer to test my injectors for $70 an hour. At the other shop here in town where I regularly buy parts they had one Bosch nozzle, but there was no box with it. It was sealed in what appeared to be a very heavy shrink wrap. It had the following things stamped on the side of it 76525, Bosch, DN O SD265, 939, and some sort of a symbol. Is there any way to know where it was manufactured? Does anyone have a resource for non-Indian Bosch nozzles? Thanks for the feedback
!

All of the bosch nozzle I have seen including the one that I have from India have the country on them. I have seen Germany, France, Brazil and Indian made nozzles all stamped.
I say why bother with that one unknown nozzle anyway. I have not rebuilt my injedtors with them yet but I bought 5 Monark nozzles for my 617.952 engine (from C Sean Watts) and they so far as I know have a good rep and were close to $10 less than the Bosch ones and made in Germany. If interested ask Sean if they are correct for your engine.

The shop that said the injector nozzles never wear out don't know what they are talking about. Don't go there for service!
I use the Italian Bosio Nozzles available from dieselgiant.com and they work wonderfully....big improvement with them. I've put clost to 10k on them with 0 problems. My dad has them also and has put over 15k on his with 0 issues as well.

Be careful out there... counterfeit Bosch Germany nozzles are floating around. Check out this thread, it shows photos of fake, as well as genuine, Bosch nozzles:
