Oh and it has this loud tick sounds like a really bad exhaust leak but louder. and by my muffler where the car has run the grass is now black. any Ideas?

I really miss my car I do have another benz here for parts but I do not know what parts I need.

Someone said to clean the injectors?? How would I go about that?
Oh man, you need some help on writing. It's hard to understand what you are saying. You put periods in the middle of sentences, and capitalized words that don't need capitalized, like Totally Black and Crap. Your sentences are sort of incomplete thoughts, with no commas to separate thoughts, and/or they sentences are put together backwards. Hard to help if we don't know what you mean.

Ummm, anyways, to clean the injectors, if they're really bad, I think some people soak them in some stuff. The only thing I would know what to use, would be Diesel Kleen. It does clean injectors, but I think just slowly, as you drive. Sounds like your problem is much more severe.

That's my 2 cents worth.

Jeff

This is not good. 3 quarts low should not cause permanent harm to this engine but the clank clank noise is the way that people typically describe a bad rod bearing which is often times caused by running low on oil. If you have the capability, take a video of the engine running and capture the noise. Post it on YouTube, put the link here and you can probably get a quick diagnosis just from the sound.

22mm hollow bolt that secures secondary filter is ported at one side only. Line up the hole to outgoing fuel flow channel marked with the arrow. Scribing a mark on bolt face to indicate where the hole's located will help.

Can't tell for sure. Sounded like a blown exhaust manifold gasket to me at first but you should be able to see soot around the manifold if that is what happened. It also sounded too loud for that once you revved it up. I'm not much help.

I don't know, but it sounds more like a mechanical issue than an injector to me. Can you locate the source with a stethoscope or something. Try listening to the vacuum pump just to rule it out.

Try pulling the dipstick out a few inches - or leaving the oil cap loose - see if it continues running then.

You certainly do have a problem in the engine, it sounds to me like you aren't hitting on one cylinder. If it is bad blow by then it will be trying to stop the engine via the shutdown vacuum pod located on the injector pump. You could crack open injector lines one at a time to see which one ,if any, doesn't change the engine speed. Also note if there is fuel coming out of the line.

We did pop the injector line and the noise seem to go away on injector #2

I also think there is a exhaust leak on the passenger side as there is smoke coming up from there.

It sounds to me like it's running on fewer than five cylinders. Steve
