Its too bad your car got dinged up. It does look like its all cosmetic though. They don't call these things Panzer wagons for nothing. Actually, as far as pictures go, I would like to see what she did to the truck.

Well, look at it this way. You now have someone to change the oil from now on

Talk to the cell service provider. You might be able to modify your service contract and have text messaging disabled.

that's a lot of parenting advice...

And maybe not exactly what TX76513 was looking for but he did say
"Any input or suggestions are welcome."
And hey I have a 16 YO boy driving, and 15 YO girl learning, and lots of us are going through this stuff and I appreciate all that parenting advice. Some damn good stuff there that I will use if I have the misfortune of needing to. A wide pallet of options to chose from as different situations would call for different methods.
Glad I had a look at this one.

I have a 15YO with her learners permit. I am looking for a parts car now, knowing that sooner or later....
I whould fix it, and have her help you. More for the time with her than needing the help.
And make sure she knows she is more important than a bent car. The learning cure is steep when these things happen... on both sides.
Either way I would fix it. It looks like a very nice, well taken care of car, that would be hard to replace.

He was asking for advice on fixing the car - not parenting advice!

John,
Is it a 617 or a 603? Consider selling me the engine/car if it's a 603. I need a replacement powerplant for the 603 'fogger.

Glad she's ok. If she was going 30 MPH then I'm impressed with the car. My daughter rear ended another car with the VW that I got her and I fixed it but it took 35 days (I could have done it in less than a week). While I was fixing her car I still let her drive but the only extra vehical we had around was a full size long wheel based work van the she didn't like to be seen in.
Some how at that point she started to realize she couldn't stop in the distance she had thought she could and she has been a very good driver ever since.

All good input and well taken. Her brother is fireman and responded to accident -its my understanding he got his licks in pretty good. Speed of collision - well it's a 35 mph zone, just guessing the worse. She cannot drive as we speek even with the other cars available. (bmw or 500se LOL)

I pulled all the broken stuff off and removed the aux fan which appears to have a broken housing. The come along worked real well getting everything back to a relative position. Some bottle jacks and pry bars were helpful also. One blade gone off the fan an the PS Pump gut a groove almost through the upper oil line. Once I get everything pulled out probably look at the entire dollar aspect of car value vs replacment parts. We have to many cars maybe its time to thin the herd.
