w126 manual seat conversion

Am i the only one who think electric seats really really suck? After messing with switches and broken door panels I feel like just swapping in a few w123's seats and calling it good. Do they bolt up? Im guessing id have to weld a plate on to make it bolt up. This is interesting to me becuase I have a spare w123 passenger seat in the right color, in good condition. id just need the driver seat from pick n pull

I think the track and base will cross over. I know some people have used W126 seats in a W123.

I have done this- sort of. The front W123 seats will bolt onto the W126 bases(W/ power motors etc.) I did have to mess w/ the seat belt rails some- but it al bolted together nicely. As for the seat back/tilt motor in the old seats - I left it out and stuck with the W123 round knob. However if you want to get rid of the power all together I am not sure. You maybe able to just bolt them down to the floor.I believe you will have to play with the seat belt mounting some. They are different. Good luck
