Are those the externally-adjustable struts for the 124? Last I checked they were closer to $500, I'm guessing yours are shocks not struts, and the ones that you remove one end to adjust (ran those on my Blue Bird believe it or not).

It is reassuring to hear they ride decent, perhaps it's time to install mine.

If you have a w123 wagon- the preferred shock is the Bilstein COMFORT- not HD's. Coupe and sedans it seems the HD are the choice if you want better handling.

That's the only shock available in Gabriels, HD Ultra, known for stiffer handling and a firmer ride!

Yes, shocks, not struts, adjust on the one end as you say. I do have a W 126, though.

Man it's weird to see your avatar and it not be captainmonk. You have a very early join date, so you may have seniority on that one, though.....

Yes, I've been on this forum for awhile. I used to travel alot, so now that I have more time, I may join in more often. I chose this avatar because of my Danish family name. ( i.e. the Vikings ). Maybe captainmonk has a similar family backround.

It will be good to get to know you Paul. We look forward to more from you. Good news on the lessening of your travel!
CaptainMonk may have just chosen it because it looks like him.....
