Question Sound deadener in the doors? (W123)

Putting my door panels back on, I figured I would put some of the sound deadener I have (Damplifier Pro, basic DynaMat type stuff) in the doors. Started with driver's side and have ground to a halt trying to get the original paper deadener panel off. Its on there good!

What have others done in the past, what have you put on the inside of the doors for sound control? How about that original material, howd you get that off?

Any problems have that stuff behind the moisture shield? That may ultimately deter me from doing any more.

Thanks,
dd

I've just been removing the sound deadening asphalt material from the floors. Heat from a heat gun and a metal putty knife works great.
