Im Chris currently a student at a local college and I work as a diesel tech (on semi-tractors). I had a wild idea when I came across an engine (inline 6 cylinder 3 litre turbo diesel, from the 87 300sdl, not sure on what the exact name for the engine is). I was very learious on wether or not to buy it, being that the car is in the junkyard and all. Well i figured whats the worse it could be I had heard some horror stories about head issues and whatnot.. I went ahead and bought the engine and transmission complete for 280.00$.

This isnt even the best part of the story, I know some people are very against outter species swaps well the engine is fitted into an 88 mazda b2200 pickup. Other than random miss Engine ran great (currently down for timing chain, guides etc). Now I have been browsing the forums here for about a month... and have yet to find a single thing on performance... not so much what to do and whats best to do but how well they handle performance, some may ask why? it nothing more that pure fun. So anything links, comments ANYTHING is greatly appreciated.
