1984 190 or 1981 240 which one is better?
I am looking at these 2 cars and need some advice on which one would be a better car. The 190 d is a 1984 with auto and about 176,000 miles. It has a bunch of electrical issues, the blower fan doesn't work, windows, air, etc, etc. The 1981 240D is a manual with 186,000 miles. Manual window, heat, etc. The air also doesn't work. Interiors are about the same, relatively nice. I'm looking for a back up car to drive for just the fun of it, something that is easy to work on and will last when it's fixed.
Any thought on these 2? I have owned a 300d so I know about the 240 but I am in the dark on this 190. I believe the 190 has a 2.2 engine, is that right? Amy thoughts on this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Matt

I forgot to mention that the 190 is 2900 OBO and the 240 is 3800 OBO. Both prices seem high, what are your thoughts?
Thanks, Matt
