83 trans 300d ,84 trans ,differences?
just made my swap over ,83 300cd coupe has recieved a donor motor and trannie from an 84 300d .The 84 trannie is different ,it has a line running to it from the drivers side ,is this a vacuum line for shifting ? what do I need off the 300d to make my swap complete?Thanks for your help in advance.

There should be no differences in the transmission. The '83 trans should also have this vacuum line to the vacuum modulator on the driver's side. And yes it is to control shifting harshness.

I think they fixed the old first -to-second harshness in the 84 valve body so your shifting may be smoother when you get done. Let me know because I am building up an '84 to go in my '83.
