Sloppy throttle linkage on firewall

Just got through getting an oil change and after leaving the shop, my car would not accelerate. Pedal had no effect on engine RPM at all. I'd noticed that the car had been slow to accelerate before; turbo would not kick in until 2k RPM.

Pulled over and popped the hood open and noticed that my linkage at the firewall was all apart. After some fiddling, got it back together and now the car runs like a top. Turbo seems to kick in at 1500 RPM and pops my neck.

I'll be replacing that worn part on the firewall with the hard white plastic bushing inside. Don't know what it's called but it's come completely apart. Weird that it will still work when pushed back together.
