VIN for Euro 300D/4spd Stick needed

Could somebody with a Euro 300D that came from the factory with a 4 speed stick send me the VIN # for this car? I am looking to price a transmission cross member from the Dealer and they need a VIN to look up euro parts.

Thanks.

Did you try the Mercedes Classic center? I had good luck finding e-code clips from them.

They want a part # in their "contact us" form, how did you get in touch with them?

Oh I remember I had problems with that, I found a 1-800 # for questions but it took me a long time to find it on one of my brochures. I'll look it up tonight unless anyone else has that info.

Let me know if you cant find it. I will get hold of my friend that put the 5 spd in the euro 300. Hes actually is a member here but hasn't been around for a while.

I'm guessing its the same 4 bolt cross member as the autos have. Wouldn't put any $ on it tho

I don't think it's the same as the 300D auto cross member, because the auto transmission/617 is the longest combo there is, and people who have done the auto to manual conversion would have just used the auto cross member rather than modify the 240D cross member. It may be the same as the 240D/auto cross member though.

Was your friend's 300D euro a 4 speed stick from the factory or did it come with the 5 speed?

His car was a Euro, 300D, 4 spd, that he put a 5 spd in.
I just tried too call the guy that did the work for him, thought I'd ask about what he encountered, cross member wise. Good point about modifying 240D CM

The 5spd uses the auto xmember.

I've looked up E-code parts on EPC and I've never needed a vin#.
