Nubs? Pads? You're talking to a guy with decades of mechanical experience but a relative MB newbie (I've only had my 300CDT for a little over a month).

Are you talking about spring isolator pads that go between the top of the spring and the body? What are nubs? How tough would they be to install? Just trying to gauge whether they'd be worth the effort. Got any pictures? That would probably help...

And if the 4 "nub" "pads" will raise the front an inch, I'd probably be interested in them. Send me a PM letting me know what you'd want for them, please.

Yea it is the spring pads that fit between the spring and the spring perch that I'm talking about. they fit over the top of the spring with a collar that goes around the top coil, on the edge of the collar they have in at least three places from 1 to 4 bumps or nibs marking the thickness of the pad. You will see them easily once you are on your back holding a trouble light. The bumps signify increasing thickness, more bumps=thicker. And of course because of the geometry of the suspension, a 1/2 " thicker pad raises the car more. I don't know how much but someone here has I am certain worked this out before. I suggest you see what pads you have now and do some searches here, then you'll have a better idea if my pads would even help you. Have you got pix of the car I wonder if the springs are sagging?
