Buyer of my 78 300cd ,racking up parking tickets in California.

I recently recognized it on ebay for sell last week ,today I recieved a citiation from the city of Santa Ana about this vehicle on a parking violation .Goes up from $53 to $101 in 2 weeks if not paid.Im guessing the guy didnt get it registered .Any remedies you fellows have.
