engine swap questions
I was thinking about swaping my 4 cyl 190e to diesel, does anyone know how hard this would be?
Is it easier to just buy a diesel instead of swaping the engine?

it's hard to find the 190's in D series... I don't know what motor would fit in there... I think they come with a 602...

601, 602, and 602 turbo in the US. They aren't hard to find except for the turbo and the 602 stickshift.
For the time and money you'll have in it, look for a nice diesel car.

It's just transferring parts if you have a host car rather than just an engine sitting on a tire. If all you have is an engine, you'll spend more time scouring wrecking yards for odds and ends than actually swapping engines.

You can fit a 603 in there and have a real hot-rod!
