Whats a good deal for this Ebay 300D?

From what I remember from posting on this site before, converting to WVO is sort of a taboo but I got a real job a couple months ago and one of the guys on our maintenance team has an 80 300TD that hes converted to wvo and this has inspired me to look into it again

Even if it would be just for use as a driver? I have no plans of ever restoring a car like that

I think it would be a good DD, if you don't mind showing off the rust. With less than 200K on the motor, it will be good for many more miles.

One of my pet peeves: Car is 28 years old, guy just bought the car this year, but he has no problem stating that the mileage is "highway miles".
Nice rust bucket, with Evil Servo........

Run away... he's got the infamous line about the odometer quit working.. They always seem to "just break".
I do like this line "With a little work, this car is close to being restored to something special!" :liar: More like with a lot of work.

Seriously though, interior looks pretty good (even with the evil servo), outside has expected northern rust. Concerned with the flooboard rust that we know how to patch (albeit not the right way). The extent of that would play a part for me. Gotta go less than 1k imo.

Gawd! I'm getting tetanus just looking at this gobbler!

Definitely a parts car, or just drive it until the seat falls onto the pavement....

IMO, odds are with that much visable rust that the really important areas underneath the car are getting close to the will not pass inspection point, and then you have an unsafe car that just became a $$ and/or time pit.
