On another note, I just unplugged the harness on my other 300d (w124) and I got 14 or 15 volts on the alternator's big pins (not the harness) as the engine was running.

It's not as easy to reach on a 124 like most things but thankfully, I've not had to work on too much in terms of engine stuff.

Got it! It works perfectly, thanks!!! I didn't test for oil leaks but I'm sure it's working great!!

AND... with the cluster in... My battery is charging. Alternator works! Probably the old one was fine. Shoot!
