7 Speed Autotronic problem on A Class 200CDi

I have an A Class 200 CDi 7 speed Autotronic. (11kmiles.)
The box does not shift into 6th or 7th gear even at 70 mph. I have been told by Mercedes Benz to move into manual mode to engage these gears!!! Has anyone else experienced this problem?

This is an American forum, we don't get any A-class models in the USA.

Try mbclub.co.uk or forums.mercedesclub.org.uk

Trans is still the same 722.9 I would believe. Check shift adaptations and see if there's any faults. If the ones over there are anything like ours, its probably a valve body problem.

Autotronic is a CVT transmission, so there is no 6th or 7th gear because there are no gears.

I have a feeling you may just not be used to driving with a CVT. There are no ratios to give the normal automatic shift feel unless its programmed to simulate that.
