Hey everyone, My '80 240D was missing the grommets on the transmission linkage (automatic
) so I replaced those, lined everything up so it shifts flawlessly, but I am a bit concerned about how it will roll a good half a foot before park will catch it. I know that my mothers '05 Honda Pilot does it too, but it just doesn't feel right in the benz, it practically freewheels and then all of a sudden catches. I also have a pretty steep driveway, although I keep it in the garage when im not working on it. So would this be a problem, or a sign of things to come with my tranny? or is it just me?
